2 killed, 3 missing as landslide buries house in Myagdi

MYAGDI: Two persons died and three went missing when a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall buried a house at Rum in Malika Rural Municipality-2 of Myagdi district on Tuesday.

Rajan BK (13) and Nabin BK (15), sons of local Gham Bahadur BK, died when the mudslide buried their house this morning. Three are still missing.

DSP Tilak Bharati said that Gham Bahadur BK, his wife and seven-year-old daughter have gone missing in the landslide.

It has been learnt that the locals have been searching for the BK’s family.

Police said that a team from the Area Police Office, Darbang has headed towards the incident site.
