4 Nepalis arrested in Tokyo for submitting fake documents for visa renewal

TOKYO : Four Nepalis have been arrested in Tokyo, Japan on the charge of submitting fake documents for visa renewal.

According to a Japanese media source, four Nepalis including Bahadur Bhujel (43), who made the fake documents for others, have been taken into custody.

Bhujel was the one who prepared fake documents while remaining had applied for the visa renewal, according to the news.

The news stated that Bhujel had renewed visas of more than 100 people by making fake documents last year.

Bhujel had been charging Rs 2 lakh (Nepalese Rupees) per person for this work and earned more than Rs 2 crore, police said.

Police will further investigate the matter, the news stated.
