Newly elected Deputy Speaker Bhusal assumes office (With video)

KATHMANDU: Newly elected Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Pushpa Bhusal assumed office on Sunday.

On the occasion, she expressed her commitment to fulfill all the responsibilities of the Deputy Speaker for the implementation of the Constitution. “I will help take the House ahead in an effective manner during my four-month tenure,” she said.

Earlier today, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota administered the oath of office and secrecy amid a program at Sheetal Niwas in the presence of President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba among others.

Nepal Congress leader Bhusal was elected as the Deputy Speaker on Friday.
