Indian Embassy security guard kills self in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A security guard working at the Indian Embassy in Lainchaur, Kathmandu shot himself to death on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Deepak Singh (32) of Uttarakhand, India.

According to a police source, Singh shot himself while he was on duty last night.

The incident came to light on Monday.

Central police spokesperson Bishnu Kumar KC said that a police team reached the embassy today to carry out investigation soon after they knew about the incident.
