Traffic policeman brutally assaults doctor in Lalitpur

KATHMANDU : A doctor has been brutally assaulted by a traffic policeman in Lalitpur on Sunday evening.

The victim has been identified as Dr Kul Bahadur Ghising.

Ghising said that an on-duty traffic policeman Rajendra Thapa assaulted him while he was walking on the road in Kusunti at around 9 pm.

Lalitpur police said that a dispute ensued between them after Thapa collided with Ghising.

Ghising works at the Arogya Healthcare Foundation.

Police are further investigating the case, Siddhi Bikram Shah, Spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur , said.
