Lightning strikes kill three in Kailali and Kanchanpur

KAILALI: Three persons died in separate lightning incidents in Kailali and Kanchanpur districts.

Devendra Shrestha (40) of Town Bazaar, Punarbas Municipality-6 and Shardha Thapa (25) of Picnic Spot, Punarbas Municipality-8 died after being struck by lightning on Tuesday morning.

Inspector Naresh Raj Malla of the Area Police Office, Tribhuvanbasti, said that both of them were working in their fields.

Likewise, a person died when a lightning him this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Punaram Chaudhary (48) of Godawari Municipality-3, DSP Bed Prakash Joshi, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kailali said.
