1 killed as mini-truck hits motobike in Koteshwor

KATHMANDU: A woman died when a mini truck hit a motorbike she was riding on at Koteshwor in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Samjhana Rai (34) of Miklajung Rural Municipality-5, Panchthar.

The incident took place when the mini-truck (Na 5 Kha 2819) heading towards Jabibuti from Kathmandu hit the two-wheeler (Ba 71 Pa 3054) heading in the same direction at around 9: 45 PM yesterday, police said.

Critically injured Rai breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) at 10:45 PM last night.

Police have taken both the vehicles and the driver of the mini-truck under custody.
