Government revokes decision to grant two-day weekend

KATHMANDU: The government has rolled back its decision to grant a two-day weekend.

A Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to revoke its decision to grant a two-day weekend,  effective from June 15.

Minister for Labour and Employment Kishan Shrestha said that the government has decided to give public holiday only on Saturday.

Earlier, the government had decided to give two days holiday a week effective from May 15 as a trial.
