2 injured as gas cylinder explodes at Kanak Petrol Pump in Teku

KATHMANDU: Two persons were injured when a gas cylinder exploded at the Teku-based Kanak Petrol Pump in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The injured have been identified as Kishori Sah and Deepak Kumar Shah of Jagannathpur, Parsa.

They are receiving treatment at the Trauma Centre, Dinesh Mainali, spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, said.

Police said that the incident occurred when the duo were welding the tank of the petrol pump.

Kishori sustained injuries on his legs, face and chest while Deepak sustained injuries on his face, police said.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
