Oli expresses dissatisfaction for allowing US official to visit Tibetan refugee camp

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has smelled a rat that the government is trying to deviate from the one-China policy.

Addressing the Parliamentary Party meeting on Wednesday, he expressed his dissatisfaction for allowing Urza Zeya, the US Under-Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, who is also the special coordinator for Tibetan issues, to visit the Tibetan refugee camp in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.

“The government has violated the nature and values of foreign policy by allowing the US official to visit the Tibetan refugee camp,” a lawmaker said as Oli saying. “This act has raised questions over the government’s intention. It is wrong to allow the land of Nepal to use against any country,” the lawmaker said.
