Kathmandu update: Balen Shah leading with 45, 982 votes

KATHMANDU: Independent mayoral candidate Balen Shah is leading with 45, 982 votes in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Srijana Singh of Nepali Congress is trailing with 27, 423 votes.

CPN-UML’s Keshav, who is in third, has secured 26, 454 votes.

The vote counting is underway in ward 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22 and 26.

Sunita Dangol of UML is leading by a huge margin in deputy mayoral race.
