NC emerges victorious in Kathmandu-7 after 25 years

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has emerged victorious in Kathmandu-7 after 25 years.

Bimal Kumar Hoda has been elected as the ward chairman with 2, 867 votes while his closest contender Krishna Mani Bhattarai of CPN-UML garnered 2, 819 votes.

This ward includes Chabahil Mitrapark area.

The UML has been continuously maintaining its legacy here since 1997.

Meanwhile, independentcandidate Balen Shah is leading with 3, 846 votes in the mayoral race.
