Tara Kumari Mahato elected mayor of Madi Municipality

KATHMANDU: Tara Kumari Kaji Mahato has been elected as the mayor of Madi Municipality.

She garnered 9, 901 votes while her closest contender Rishi Ram Kafle of CPN (Maoist Centre) received 7, 729 votes.

Khem Prasad Mahato has been elected as the deputy mayor with 6, 830 votes.
