National weightlifter Sanju Chaudhary found hanging in Lalitpur

KATHMANDU: National weightlifter Sanju Chaudhary has been found dead in Lalitpur on Tuesday.
Chaudhary is the first Nepali female weightlifter to win a gold medal in the South Asian Games.
A permanent resident of Nepalgunj, Chaudhary had been living with her relatives in Kathmandu for the past few months for the selection of Asian Games.
According to a source, Chaudhary (24) had resigned from the Nepal Police six months ago.
She was found hanging with a shawl at the house of Sanju Maharjan, a weightlifting coach, in Lubhu, Lalitpur this morning.
Chaudhary had been living at the house of Maharjan for the past few days.
Police said that they are looking into the case.
