Govt decides to provide Rs 2 million if security personnel deployed for elections dies  

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 million if any security personnel deployed for the security of elections die during their duty hours.

A meeting of the cabinet held on Sunday made the decision to this effect.

Likewise, the government also decided to bear the expenses of treatment of the security personnel if they sustained injuries while on duty.
