1 killed, 1 injured in Okhaldhunga lightning

KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries in lightning in Okhaldhunga on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Dev Bahadur Darji of Tarkerabari, Likhu Rural Municipality-8, Okhaldhunga.

The incident took place at around 6 pm yesterday.

Critically injured in the incident, Darji died while undergoing treatment at the Tamakoshi hospital in Manthali, Ramechhap, said the District Police Office, Okhaldhunga.

Similarly, local Megh Bahadur Darji was injured in the incident.

He is receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital, police said.
