1 killed, 1 injured in Salyan jeep accident

SALYAN : A person died and another sustained injuries in a jeep accident in the Salyan district on Tuesday.

Police identified the deceased as Narayan Wali (17) of Sharada municipality-1, Darimchaur.

The incident took place when a jeep (Ve 1 Ja 336) heading towards Shreenagar from Darimchaur fell 15 metres down the road this morning.

Critically injured Wali breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Shreenagar, police said.

Similarly, driver Thalraj Wali (21) was injured in the accident. He is the brother of the deceased Narayan Wali.

The reason behind the accident is yet to be established.

Police have taken the driver under custody for further investigation.
