1 killed in Dhankuta jeep accident

DHANKUTA: A person died in a jeep accident near Sagurigadhu rural municipality-6 of Dhankuta on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Shreya Rai (19) of Sagurigadhui -7, Dhankuta.

The incident occurred when the jeep (Me 1 Ja 2162) turned turtle and fell off the road after losing control at 9 pm last night, said the Area Police Office, Bhedetar.

Critically injured Rai breathed her last while receiving treatment at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, police said.

Police are further investigating the case.
