2 killed as tipper carrying wedding attendants meets with accident in Sindhuli

SINDHULI: Two persons died and 24 others were injured when a tipper carrying wedding attendants met with an accident at Thakurkhola in Dudhauli Municipality-5, Sindhuli on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Dipendra Kumar (19) and Ajay Danuwar (24) of Katari Municipality-2, Udayapur.

Among the injured, four are in critical condition, police said. They have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.

Other injured are undergoing treatment in various hospitals of Biratnagar, Katari and Sindhuli.

The tipper (Na 3 Kha 7490) was heading towards Katari from Bandegaun when the incident occurred at around 8 pm yesterday.

Police said that they have arrested the tipper driver for investigation.
