On duty Head Constable killed in Banke motorbike hit

KATHMANDU: A Head Constable died and a Constable sustained injuries when a bike hit them during a regular security check at Ranjha Chok in Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-20, Banke on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Head Constable Bhupendra Shahi (36) of Banshadhi Municipality-6, Bardiya and injured as Constable Naresh Chaudhary (35) of Barbardiya-7 of Bardiya.
Critically injured in the incident, Shahi breathed last in course of treatment at a nursing home in Nepalgunj.
Chaudhary is undergoing treatment at the same nursing home.
The bike (Bhe 10 Pa 4757) hit them at around 9 pm yesterday.
Police said that they have arrested bike rider for investigation.
