Interpretative declaration is not a part of MCC: RPP

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party has concluded that interpretative declaration which was endorsed along with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement from the Parliament was not a part of the compact.

A Central Working Committee meeting of the party held on  Wednesday and Thursday said that the interpretative declaration is not a part of the MCC.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, party spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said that the interpretative declaration is not a part of the MCC.

The party said that the MCC should not have endorsed in its existing form.

Former Chairmen of the party Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana and Prakash Chandra Lohani also attended the meeting.

The meeting endorsed the political document presented by party Chairman Rajendra Lingden.
