CPN (US) students file complaint at CIAA against 5 UML leaders including Chairman Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) students filed a complaint at the Commission of the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) against CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli among other leaders.

They filed the case against Oli, Ishwor Pokharel, Yogesh Bhattarai, Padma Aryal and Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal.

In the complaint, the students alleged that Oli and Aryal committed corruption by amending the law to exchange 300 bigha of land of Biramod and Arjundhara which are in the name of Giribandu Tea State in Jhapa.

Similarly, the students have accused Pokharel, then coordinator of the Covid-19 Crisis Management and Coordination Centre (CCMC), and Health Minister Dhakal of being involved in corruption in the procurement process of health items in collusion with the Omni Group during the pandemic.

Likewise, they alleged that then Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai embezzled millions of rupees from the state coffers in the name of Visit Nepal 2022.
