2 killed, 1 injured in Butwal motorbike accident

RUPANDEHI: Two persons died and another sustained injuries after a motorbike they were travelling in met with an accident at Milanpark of Butwal Sub-Metropolis-12 on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Prem Ruchal(20) and Rahul Thapa (20) of Gaidhawa Rural Municipality-9, Hattibazar, according to DSP at District Police Office, Rupandehi, Nabaratna Poudel. Both of them were the pillion riders of the two-wheeler.

The incident occurred when a motorbike (Lu 60 Pa 3652) carrying three riders overturned and hit a wall after the driver lost control over the vehicle at around 4 AM this morning.

Critically injured pillion riders were taken to Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal but breathed their last during the course of treatment.

Similarly, Bimal Rana (21), rider of the two-wheeler, was also injured during the incident. He is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Police are looking into the case.
