Parliament meeting postponed till February 14

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives called for Wednesday has been postponed till February 14.

The Parliament Secretariat pasting a notice said that the meeting has been postponed till February 14z

General Secretary of the Secretariat Bharat Raj Gautam said that the meeting has been postponed for some special reasons.

“The meeting scheduled for 1 pm on Wednesday has been postponed till February 14 for some special reasons,” the notice read.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had sent a message to Speaker Agni Sapkota to table the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in the meeting.

But Sapkota has been expressing his reluctance to table the MCC in the Parliament due to an unfavourable environment.

Speaker Sapkota postponed the meeting to settle the dispute.

Earlier, the meeting called for January 30 was postponed till tomorrow citing the threat of Covid-19.
