Government decides to consult with legal eagles to fix date of local elections

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to consult with the legal eagles to fix the date of the local level elections.

A meeting of the senior leaders of the ruling coalition held on Friday made the decision to this effect, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal personal secretary Ramesh Malla said.

Speaking after the meeting, government spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the government is ready to hold the elections as per the constitutional provisions.
