As many as 99 Nepali migrant workers to fly to Israel today

KATHMANDU: As many as 99 Nepali migrant workers are flying to Israel for employment today.

According to the Department of Foreign Employment, a total of 99 Nepali migrant workers including 63 women and 36 men are leaving for Israel at around 11 pm today.

Preparations were made to evacuate a total of 125 people from the country but the number decreased as 26 people got infected with Covid-19, said the Department director Dambar Bahadur Sunuwar.

A labour agreement was signed between the government of Nepal and the government of Israel on September 30, 2020.

After 24 weeks of signing the agreement, Nepali workers are leaving for Israel today.
