16 injured in Sarlahi bus accident

JANAKPURDHAM: As many as 16 people were injured when a bus they were travelling in met with an accident at Nocha of  Hariwan municipality-9 in Sarlahi along the East-West Highway on Tuesday. 

The incident occurred when a bus (Na 5 Kha 5055) heading towards Biratnagar from Pokhara turned turtle and fell off the highway, Kedarman Dong, Chief at the District Traffic Police Office, said.

Police have estimated that overspeeding was the reason behind the accident. 

The injured have been taken to the Namuna Hospital for treatment, Chief Dong said.

Police are looking into the case.
