NC objects to India’s construction of road in Lipulekh

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress has objected to India’s construction of road in Lipulekh area.

Issuing a statement on Friday, Nepali Congress General Secretary duo Gagan Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharma said that the party’s attention has been drawn towards the statement made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few days ago that the Indian government is constructing a road in Lipulekh area.

“Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani are Nepal’s territory,” they said in the statement.

They have also demanded the withdrawal of Indian troops from Kalapani.
