Former King Gyanendra offers garland to statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah (With photos and video)

KATHMANDU: Former king Gyanendra Shah offered a garland to the life-size statue of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the unifier of modern Nepal, in front of the west gate of Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

Former King Gyanendra along with the supporters reached Singha Durbar at around 12 pm today to mark the 300th birth anniversary of King Prithvi Narayan Shah.

Issuing a message on the eve of Prithvi Jayanti, Gyanendra expressed his dissatisfaction over the federal democratic republican system.
