Government transfers 10 joint secretaries

KATHMANDU: The government transferred 10 joint secretaries on Friday.

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration transferred 10 joint secretaries by making a ministerial level decision today.

According to a source, three joint secretaries—Shrawan Kumar Timilsina, Shiva Kumar Karki and Man Maya Pangeni—of the Home Ministry have been transferred to various commissions under the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.

Timilsina has been transferred to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

Similarly, Karki has been transferred to the National Inclusive Commission and Pangeni to the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of the Gandaki Province.

Joint secretaires Rajeshwor Gyawali and Narayan Prasad Risal of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration have been transferred to the Home Ministry.

It has been learnt that five joint secretaries of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration have been transferred to other departments of the ministry.

Joint Secretary Jhakku Acharya, who had been taking the responsibility of the Internal Affairs Ministry of the Karnali Province, has been given the responsibility of the Economic Affairs Ministry of the province.

Likewise, Chakra Bahadur Budha, who was looking after the Internal Affairs Ministry of the Karnali Province as the secretary, has been transferred to the Finance Ministry.

Joint Secretary Dirgharaj Mainali of Revenue Administration Training Centre has been transferred to the Social Development Ministry of Province 1 while joint secretary Rita Joshi of Ministry of Health and Population has been transferred to the Social Development Ministry of Sudurpaschim Province.

Joint Secretary Bharat Aryal of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Ministry has been transferred to the Suspension Bridge Division Office.
