Fire engulfs three houses in Panchthar

PANCHTHAR: Three houses were destroyed in a fire that broke out at Barbhanjyang in Falelung Rural Municipality-6, Panchthar on Wednesday.

The fire that broke out from the house of Jeet Bahadur Meyongba destroyed the houses of Ramjeet Rai and Man Bahadur Rai yesterday evening.

The inferno engulfed over half a dozen shops, including an IME office set up in the houses, local Khagendra Rai said.

Security personnel with the help of two fire engines brought from Phidim took the fire under control.

The fire is suspected to have been caused by an electric short circuit.
