UML changes two candidates for National Assembly elections

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has changed some candidates for the elections to the National Assembly members.

Of the names of 19 candidates made public by the party, two candidates have been changed at the last hour.

Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal said that the candidates from Province 1 under the open category and from Gandaki Province under the Dalit Category have been changed.

Dev Raj Ghimire of Province 1 has been replaced by Standing Committee member Guru Baral. He is the former lawmaker of Morang.

Similarly, the party has decided to field Arjun Kumar Sunam instead of Govinda Bahadur Nepali from Gandaki Province.
