Government announces public holiday on Thursday for Tamu Lhosar

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to give a public holiday tomorrow on the occasion of Tamu Lohsar, one of the biggest festivals of the Gurung community.

A cabinet meeting held on Wednesday made the decision to this effect, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation, Shashi Shrestha told the Nepal Press.

Accordingly, all government offices and public agencies across the country will remain closed on the occasion of Tamu Lhosar.
