Government recognises Nepal Telecom as highest taxpayer

KATHMANDU: The government has honoured highest taxpayers under different categories on the occasion of National Tax Day 2078 on Wednesday.

The government honoured Nepal Telecom as the highest taxpayer while Dabur Nepal was honoured for being the highest exporter.

Likewise, Chhimek Laghubittiya Bittiya Sanstha and Nabil Bank were honoured as the highest taxpayer among the cooperatives and commercial banks respectively.

Similarly, Agro Tech was honoured for being the highest taxpayer in the agriculture sector.

The government honoured Nobel Hospital as the highest taxpayer in the health sector while Taragaon was facilitated in the tourism sector.

Bhatabhateni and Himal Power Company were also honoured for being the highest taxpayer.

Meanwhile, Siddhartha Sumsher Rana was the top taxpayer under the individual category. Among the companies, Surya Nepal was announced the highest taxpayer.

Asian Paints, Ghorahi Cement and Nepal Punarbima Company were also honoured under different categories.
