2 of a family die after consuming poison in Rautahat

JANAKPURDHAM: Two children of a single family died after consuming poison in the Dewahi Gonahi Municipality of Rautahat district.

The deceased have been identified as Aakash (5) and Bikash (4), sons of Sanjay Mukhiya.

Initially, both the sons of Mukhiya were rushed to a local health post in Garuda for treatment.  Later, the health facility referred them to the Terai Hospital of Birgunj where they breathed their last during the course of treatment, Superintendent of Police (SP) Binod Ghimire of the District Police Office, Rautahat said.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
