12 injured in Dhanusha bus accident

JANAKPURDHAM: At least 12 persons were injured when a bus they were travelling in met with an accident at Maltol in Dhanusha along the East-West Highway on Wednesday.

The Area Police Office, Dhalkebar said that the incident occurred when the bus (Na 6 Kha 7102 ) heading towards Biratnagar from Dang fell around 20 ft down the road at around 8 am today.

Police said that the bus was completely destroyed as it caught fire immediately after the incident. 

The bus driver and the conductor fled the scene after the incident, police said.
