1 dead, 5 injured in Helambu bus accident

SINDHUPALCHOWK: One person died and five others sustained injuries after a bus met with an accident at Ichowk in Helambu on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Pasang Tamang (55) of Palchok, Helambu-3, Sindupalchowk district.

The ill-fated bus (Ba 4 Kha 5815) was enroute to Kathmandu from Helambu when the incident occurred due to brake failure, the Area Police Office, Helambu said.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Sunil Thapa said that Anuj Tamang, Pasang Dorje, Sajan Tamang, Jangbu Tamang of Helambu-6 and Ayush Pandit of Helambu-7 were injured in the accident.

Police said that they are investigating into the case by impounding the vehicle.
