Bhai Tika in Balgopaleshwor Temple (With photos)

KATHMANDU: Bhaitika — the last day of the five-day Tihar festival — is being observed across the nation on Saturday with sisters offering Tika to their brothers.

The authority has opened the Balgopaleshwor Temple, which is in the middle of the Rani Pokhari, this year for the people who do not have brothers or sisters to offer prayers and to receive Tika.

The Temple used to open once a year on the day of Bhai Tika. But, the Temple had remained closed after the 2015 devastating earthquake and Covid-19 pandemic.

The Temple was built by King Pratap Malla in 1970.
