CJ gives positive response to agitating justices, postpones hearing of all cases except habeas corpus

KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana on Monday postponed hearings of all the cases except habeas corpus.

The Chief Justice gave a positive response after the agitating justices of the Supreme Court formed a three-member team to communicate with the head of the apex court.

Earlier on Sunday, the justices formed the team comprising Sapana Pradhan Malla, Anil Sinha and Manoj Sharma.

As many as six benches have been formed to hear the habeas corpus cases.

The justices have been boycotting the bench demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Rana.

The Chief Justice, however, has been continuing his bench.
