Apex Court justices to hold meeting with Chief Justice Rana today

KATHMANDU: The justices of the Supreme Court, who boycotted the full court meeting summoned by Chief Justice Cholendra Sumsher JB Rana on Monday, have decided to hold a meeting with Rana on Tuesday.

According to a source, a code of conduct has been formulated in the discussion with the Chief Justice in which only one justice will speak with Chief Justice Rana in the meeting today.

One of the justices of the Supreme Court, Dr Ananda Mohan Bhattrai has been unofficially decided to speak with Rana on behalf of the 14 justices under their code of conduct.

A meeting of the Bar Association held on Monday concluded that the judiciary could not be operated under the leadership of Chief Justice and urged him to tender his resignation immediately.
