54 injured in Panchthar bus accident

BIRATNAGAR: As many as 54 people were injured when a bus met with an accident at Siwa Khola in Phidim Municipality-4, Panchthar on Monday.

According to the District Police Office, Panchthar, the ill-fated bus (Ko 1 Kha 3835) was heading towards Jhapa from Panchthar when the incident occurred this morning.

Among the injured, some are said to be in critical condition.

Police said that preparations are underway to refer them to different hospitals in Jhapa and Morang as they could not be treated in Panchthar.
