Kahi Nabhaeko Jatra Hadigaun Ma! (With photos)

KATHMANDU: Handigaun Jatra also known as Satya Narayan Jatra was observed with much fanfare on Thursday.

The festival was celebrated by pulling a chariot from one place to another within the Handigaun area today.

The festival is celebrated a day after the completion of Dashain, the biggest and longest festival of Nepali Hindus. During this festival, there is a tradition to pull the chariot by paying homage to Lord Brahma, Bishnu and Mahesh. 

As this festival is celebrated differently from others, this festival is also known as ‘Kahi Nabhaeko Jatra Hadigaun Ma’.
