1 killed, 2 missing after being swept away by Arang Khola in Pyuthan

RUPANDEHI: A woman died and two children went missing after  the flooded Arang Khola swept them away in Pyuthan on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Devisara Karki (28) of Mandavi Rural Municipality-4. Karki’s body was found in Mandavi, Dhikaban this morning.

According to Inspector Devi Prasad Gaire, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Rupandehi, Karki’s two-year-old son Dinesh Karki and eight-year-old daughter of Madhu Adhikari had gone missing after the river swept them away.

Inspector Gaire said that police personnel with the help of locals are searching for the missing children.
