Govt to provide relief up to Rs 200,000 to families of those killed in floods and landslides

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to provide relief to the families of those who lost their loved ones in floods and landslides.

An emergency Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to provide Rs 200,000 to a family who lost one member and additional Rs 100,000 to a family who lost more than one member in the rain-induced disasters.

Similarly, the government has decided to provide land to those who lost their land due to floods and landslides.

Likewise, the government has decided to provide Rs 500,000, Rs 400,000 and Rs 300,000 to the people of Himalayan, Hilly  and Tarai Region whose houses were completely damaged in floods and landslides, government’s spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said.
