CPN (US) to get chief ministers of Province 1, Bagmati Province

KATHMANDU: At a time when the Cabinet expansion is becoming complicated in the ruling coalition, it has been agreed to give the chief ministers of the two provinces to CPN (Unified Socialist).

A meeting of the senior leaders of the ruling coalition held on Thursday agreed to give the chief ministers of Province 1 and Bagmati Province, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal said.

Earlier, Nepali Congress had claimed the post of chief minister in Bagmati Province.

Rajendra Rai and Rajendra Pandey are the claimants of chief ministers in Province 1 and Bagmati Province respectively from the CPN (Unified Socialist).

The CPN (Unified Socialist) has been expressing dissatisfaction over the division of ministers.
