UML forms 10 groups to discuss proposals for statute convention

KATHMANDU:  CPN-UML has formed 10 groups to discuss various proposals to be submitted at the statute convention of the party.

Central member Mahesh Basnet said that a Central Committee meeting held at the Chyasal-based Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation in Lalitpur on Friday formed the groups to discuss the proposals.

During the meeting, Pradeep Gyawali submitted a political report on behalf of party Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Similarly, general secretary Ishwor Pokharel and deputy general secretary Bishnu Paudel tabled organisational and statute amendment proposals respectively.

All the three proposals will be endorsed by concluding the decision of the group discussion in a meeting to be held at 11 am tomorrow.

Central member and Okhaldhunga district incharge Yagya Raj Sunuwar said that the suggestions will be floated in the meeting by holding a discussion with the leaders of 10 groups.

The statute convention of the UML will be held in Godawari, Lalitpur from October 1 to October 3.
