Advance ticket bookings for Dashain to open from September 27

KATHMANDU: Advance booking of bus tickets for the upcoming Dashain festival is scheduled to be opened from September 27.

A meeting of the Department of Transport Management held with transport entrepreneurs, consumers, rights activists and traffic police personnel on Thursday decided to open advance booking of bus tickets from September 27.

During the meeting, transport entrepreneurs said that the advance booking of bus tickets should be opened after carrying out repair and maintenance works of the roads as heavy rains have damaged roads in various parts of Nepal.

Officials at the Department said that they will discuss the issue with Sishir Dhungana, secretary at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, tomorrow.
