Parshuram Basnet acquitted in money laundering case

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court on Thursday acquitted UML leader Parshuram Basnet in a money laundering case.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation in 2013 had filed a case at the Special Court against Basnet, accusing him of amassing a huge sum of money and property through illegal means.

A division bench of Justices Deepak Kumar Karki and Tanka Bahadur Moktan gave clean chit to Basnet today.
