Landslide obstructs Tribhuvan Highway
KATHMANDU: Vehicular movement along the Nagdhunga-Naubise road section of the Tribhuvan Highway has been obstructed due to a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall on Monday.
DSP Mohan Khand, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot, said that the landslide occurred near Chisapani Dhara.
Hundreds of vehicles to and from the Kathmandu Valley have been stranded following the obstruction. He informed that a team of Nepal Police has already reached the site to clear the debris.
Passengers are bearing the brunt of frequent disruption of the highway due to landslides.
