Copenhagen becomes world’s safest city, Kathmandu not included in list

KATHMANDU: Copenhagen has been named the world’s safest city in the world.

According to a report made public by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Danish capital has been named the safest city of the world.

With this announcement, Copenhagen toppled Tokyo and Singapore, which were the usual contenders of the index.

Here are world’s top 10 safest cities

  1. Copenhagen
  2. Toronto
  3. Singapore
  4. Sydney
  5. Tokyo
  6. Amsterdam
  7. Wellington
  8. Hong Kong
  9. Melbourne
  10. Stockholm

According to a report, India’s capital New Delhi is on the 48th position while Mumbai is on the 50th.

Nepal’s capital Kathmandu, however, has not been included in the list among the 60 cities of the world.
